Using Youtube in Your Online Marketing…
This is just a quick post about using Youtube in your online marketing.
Youtube is super-powerful for getting views, search engine rankings, and traffic. I have a bunch of niche sites and I make simple Youtube videos for most of my sites. In my Google Analytics account, I get by far the longest time-on-site from visitors from Youtube.
I don’t spend a ton of time creating videos either… I just make informative videos in Powerpoint, I actually use Keynote, and then I record them with Screenflow- you can use Camtasia on a PC.
I don’t worry about background music or anything like that- I can put the slides together in about 10 minutes, then as long as it takes to record it and it’s done.
If you put up some backlinks to your videos, sometimes they’ll appear in the top 10 within a day… this is obviously in smaller niches but still- it beats waiting weeks or months for your static site.

do you them all yourself for all your niche sites…..i just wondered if the person voice might affect conversions on a site

Yeah I’ve done all my own. Maybe when I have thousands to blow on just voiceovers I’ll have someone do them, but I think that if you just talk in your own voice in a casual way, people respond better than if they sounded as good a movie preview cuz they know it’s someone real.

Do you make these short Youtube Videos for all your posts on a given niche site? Or is this only on specific pages or specifics topics?

JC- I try to make a youtube vid for every page I put up, except for amazon review pages unless it makes sense. For a physical product a powerpoint video isn’t the best, but I have done it.
